Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring!

It's almost that time of year again, and I could not be more excited for the snow to melt so I can get back behind the camera working with all of you and your amazing horses! If you've been considering Portraits this year, but just don't know when, Spring might be a great option for you.

Here are 3 reasons Spring is a fantastic time of year for Horse & Rider portraits...

1. Colors

We all know Spring is when everything goes into full bloom. Not only is this time of year filled with stunning flowers, but the greens are greener and the trees are more full. Your portraits will be absolutely vibrant.

2. Weather

Spring has the perfect weather for outdoor portraits. Your horses coat with be shiny and rich after shedding season. It's not too cold to bathe, so your horse will be nice and clean. If you're not a fan of summer heat, Spring is cool enough that you and/or your horse won't be sweating 20 minutes in.

3. Timing

For a lot of us, Summer can be quite busy, myself included! Whether you're competing on the summer show circuit, have kids out of school, or just have a lot going on, it may not be the best time for you to squeeze in a portrait session. Doing it before things get hectic will allow you to enjoy the process even more!

Because Spring is such an amazing time of year, it's also very popular. There are only a few remaining sessions open between April and June.
